Suicide Prevention - Improving Risk Assessment and Management

$35.00

Nine out of ten clinicians, across all disciplines, fail to properly assess and care for suicidal clients, according to leading suicidologist Dr. April Foreman.

If you’re like most professionals, your formal training in working with suicidal clients may have been limited to a few classes in grad school, or even just an hour or two. There’s nothing wrong with feeling intimidated by working with suicidal clients, but there definite ways to increase your skill and competency.

This two-hour training won’t be able to provide mastery, but it will be an important step towards building the appropriate skills and knowledge we need in working with clients in need.

The next training will take place on Friday, December 14th, from 12:30-2:30 PM. Training will be at the Vered Counseling office at 29 Ravenscroft Dr, Suite 208 in Downtown Asheville. (If you are unable to attend in person, you can attend online. Let me know in advance, and I will send you a link where you can join us.)

2 hour CEUs will be available for social workers (other professionals will receive certificates, please check with your board’s regulations for their continuing education requirements).
