Meaning-Making for UHNWI

walking through a forest, suggesting ultra wealthy high net worth individual finding meaning and purpose through therapy coaching consultation services

In a world of Yes Men, find yourself a real friend.

Hey there - I’m Kimberly.

I found myself tripping backwards into the world of meaning-making for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals.

I get asked to do this work once? Great, fantastic.

I get asked again? And again, and-

You can only have so many one-offs before something becomes “a thing you do.”

I come from a world ankle-deep in meaning.

My primary job for the past decade has been keeping transgender teenagers alive. I’m good at this and have a bucket of awards to show for it. (Of course, the real prize is seeing kids grow up.)

It turns out, you don’t keep young people alive by slapping their hand and yelling “No!” every time they get the call of oblivion.

For something to stick, you have to comfortable looking into the void and wondering “Is what I have better than this?” And if the answer is not, then I see it as my job to help my patients find a viable alternative to dying.

(I call suicide “ONE WEIRD TRICK THAT THERAPISTS HATE” because - as with rubbing peppers on your feet or whatever those spam ads are suggesting - you could, but it’s not really the intervention that fixes things.)

My background in complexity and acuity have led me to becoming a go-to trainer for ethical issues in healthcare. I provide ethics education for healthcare workers, bridging theoretical and practical divides. Familiarity with Camus or Voltaire won’t make someone a good therapist, but philosophical literacy adds a certain savoir-faire when things get dark.

What is an Existential Consultant?

More than once, I’ve found myself being asked to provide meaning-making services to people who have trouble finding a trusted sounding board.

People like:

- Those who have grown up in a “gilded cage” and want something different.

- Those who want to experience boundaries built on respect and consideration, not control and manipulation.

- Those who feel seen as “a name” first and “a person” second.

- Those who feel overly coddled, like people are scared to tell them hard truths.

I provide space and support to work through things. Also, I’m not scared of you. (Ask me who I got suspended in high school for being creepy.)

What does this cost?

Say it with me: Ask for pricing.

But, more seriously, this service has a one-time fee. This allows things to be settled and over with, so there’s no weirdness or strange dynamics that affect our work together: only trust, growth, and a path towards authenticity.
